The Hot Springs Village Property Owners Association and Cooper Communities, Inc., have decided to postpone all 50th Anniversary events that were originally planned for April 20, 2020.
The community’s 50th Anniversary Planning Committee created these events to honor the John A. Cooper Family for their vision in developing Hot Springs Village.
Cooper Communities Board Chairman, John Cooper III, remarked “it is an honor to be recognized, but my family believes it is the members who deserve all the recognition. The members made Hot Springs Village a community, not Cooper Communities. That is why we support the difficult decision to postpone the celebration. The safety of the members comes first. We look forward to celebrating the Village in the near future once COVID-19 is no longer a threat.”
Postponed events include:
- Founders Day Luncheon (by invitation only)
- Birthday Cupcake Giveaway Party
- Community-Wide Birthday Party with live entertainment by The Soaker Blues Band
- Outdoor Pool Ribbon Cutting
- HSV Great 18 Tournament, originally scheduled for April 20 through May 1.
These events will be rescheduled.
Cindi Erickson, Hot Springs Village POA Board Chair, said, “We look forward to a time in the near future when we may all gather to honor the Cooper Family for their contributions to the community, a time when we can celebrate together the many achievements of our two organizations and the property owners who brought this community to life over the last 50 years.”
